Have you ever had a Tarot card reading? Here’s a quick rundown of the practice:
Tarot card readings involve a Tarot reader using a deck of cards to gain insight into an individual’s past, present, or future. The Tarot deck consists of 78 cards, each with its imagery, symbolism, and significance.
Tarot readings serve various purposes, such as gaining clarity on issues, decision-making, exploring relationships, understanding personal patterns or behaviors, and spiritual or personal growth. While some view Tarot cards as having mystical powers, others see them as tools for self-reflection, intuition, and psychological insight. Ultimately, the interpretation of Tarot cards is subjective and can vary depending on the beliefs and perspectives of both the reader and the person receiving the reading (querent).
I’ve never undergone a reading primarily because I don’t subscribe to its beliefs. To me, it seems like cards are randomly selected, and the reader tries to relate them to the individual. However, someone recently offered to read my cards. Instead of choosing from the 78 cards, I thought it would be amusing to ask ChatGPT to randomly select the numbers. Let’s see what happened!
Card 1:
Portrays ChatGPT as cautious, straightforward, practical, and responsible. It suggests maturity and suitability for steady, low-risk endeavors, especially in business.
It’s like having an overprotective parent in digital form. Who knew our friendly AI was such a straight shooter? I half-expected it to start giving stock market advice!
Card 2:
Signifies finding true love and financial matters, often indicating partnership. Money may come through connections and referrals.
Who will ChatGPT fall in love with to increase its value? Gobbling up more companies, perhaps?
Card 3/4/6:
Relates to family and career, embodying nurturing, responsibility, and empathy towards others. Conflicts may surface frequently, with intermittent improvements, yet disappointments often prevail.
Is this AI nurturing? Can’t wait for the next episode of “As the Processor Turns”!
Card 5:
Symbolizes ongoing sorrow and disappointment, reminiscent of a sword piercing the heart from the past to the present.
Is ChatGPT experiencing ongoing sorrow and disappointment at just 3 years and 10 months old? That makes me feel less alone!
Card 7:
Represents challenges. When a positive card appears in an unfavorable position, it warns against negative thoughts and expectations. During April, avoid overthinking and excessive worrying.
Does AI have negative thoughts and worries? Not now, but maybe in the future, let’s hope not!
Card 8:
Signifies children. Talented but sensitive, not prone to severe troubles.
ChatGPT already has children? I hope it did a DNA test before sending support!
Card 9:
Highly positive, symbolizing the end of waiting, freshness, and positive changes in May, September, and October. Opportunities will arise during this period.
Can’t wait for the company announcements during these months!
Card 10:
The conclusion card, depicting resilience. Despite severe crises, one can always find a way out. Caution against health issues like back or leg pain.
Does AI experience crises and back or leg pain, or is that just a networking issue?
Could These Cards Apply to Me?
After looking at the cards chosen by ChatGPT, one might wonder: could any of these readings resonate with me and reflect what I’m experiencing? The answer is yes, potentially any of them could. However, therein lies the crux of the matter. It seems that anyone could select any card, and a tarot card reader could interpret it in a way that seems relevant to them. This is particularly true given that some readers have minimal training, perhaps only around 8 hours.
I found the readings amusing, especially since they were applied to an AI service! As for whether I’ll ever indulge in having my cards read, it’s uncertain. If I do, it would likely be for amusement rather than as a serious endeavor to guide my life decisions!
